Comment: Roof was replaced on my historic Victorian House in the Fall of 2015 by Stephen Halstead Roofing. In less than 2 years, the shingles on my front porch started curling up. I hired Levine & Company, Roof Inspection Specialists, to inspect my roof for installation issues. They produced a written report that found number of problems. When I presented the report to Stephen Halstead, he refused to read it. He also did not accept my Certified Letter regarding the roofing issues. A bad leak developed inside my house on the 2nd of the 3rd floor, unrelated to the porch issues. Halstead told me that he would reflash my front chimney to stop the leak. That was over 1 year ago. I am still waiting. There are visible holes in the attic where the sheathing was not replaced. More shingles are curling up all around the entire house. I found another person who had similar problems with Halstead. Her roof is still leaking. No resolution. Halstead continues to seek new work in my area. Grabs your money and does not stand behind his work. Do not hire this roofer!!!!
