Comment: To whom it concern:
I would like to report a case of fraud involving an alleged home improvement company owned by Gus or ?Dus? Burgess. He promised large crews of indoor & outdoor painters so the work would be done quickly. The most people he had working at one time was 5 people for 2 days & then he left 2 seniors to complete the work. Not half of the work was completed when Gus asked for the majority of the money, which my wife paid while I was not at home. The next day he had several verbal confrontations with my wife, again when I was not at home, & then quit our job leaving our home in disarray. I know the money is gone and it will cost more to fix the mistakes he made, I just don?t want anyone else to have to go through this.

He also has a company called Gus Burgess Irrigation. He hired a sub contractor to do part of the work that apparently is on the sex offenders list.

He also abandoned the job leaving all kinds of trash and used construction materials. I will have to hire someone else to straighten out his work as well. I am a 100 % disabled Veteran and my wife is also disabled. Gus was verbally abusive to my wife while when I was not at home. He did not respond to any of the my attempts to contact him. He had Horace tell me he wasn?t coming back and if I wanted to finish the job Horace would do it but of course it would cost more money. I would like to file a police report against him. Any assistance to stop this kind of fraud would be greatly appreciated. ***
