Job description: Plumbing 1 1/2 bath, kitchen, washer/dryer in small apartment building
Overall experience: bad
How much were you charged? $15,500.
Was the charge fair? unfair
Comment: Plumbing estimate $7500 gave deposits of $3500 and deposit of $9500 for (framing, sheetrock) work that was never done by Herbert and he never refunded the outstanding balance and failed to provide accounting/break down of services provided. Pipes were never tested and found many leaks due to shoddy solder work after walls were sheet rocked, water roofed and tiled. During the course of the job I found out he was an unlicensed plumber. What a nightmare job!! Found him on Thumbtack. Lesson learned ALWAYS ASK FOR LICENSE AND INSURANCE BEFORE GIVING ANYONE A DEPOSIT!!
