Job description: Complete Septic Installation

Comment: Dan Dillion, owner, was hired to complete the installation of the septic system at my new home; the trenches were all dug, and the septic tand had been installed in the ground. He was to install the infiltrators, run the pipe from the tank to the house, backfill the trenches, fill the septic tank, and backfill all of the dirt work. Additionally, he was supposed to install vents on the infiltators and cleanouts for the house lines. He asked for payment, before the job was complete, and assured me that he would fix the cleanouts, fill the tank and backfill around the infiltrators and septic tank. A month later, he is refusing to do the work, on the grounds that backfilling the trenches, etc. is cosmetic, and he wants $1000.00 to complete the work. He has also lectured me about being loyal to him, after I hired another plumber to do the hook-ups on the interior drains at less than half the $3800 he wanted to do that work.
