Comment: Sign a contract with Winslow for major renovations including work that requires a building permit. We paid $220k, up front for “materials. Immediately red flags went up so we hired a Home Inspector who immediately told us this guy does NOT have a GC License. We confronted Winslow and he told us he let his license lapse but not to worry because he was using a GC license from EcoTech (Hilton Head Island). We asked to see written proof of the relationship between him and EcoTech and he said “it’s a handshake”. He also told us he forgot to file our Building Permit. We have severed ties with him, majority of work unfinished. He is an excellent con artist, recently on TV WHHI “talk of the town” bragging about himself. FYI- I called EcoTech and they claim absolutely ZERO involvement or responsibility regarding our home.
