Customer Review #1:

Job description: Plumbing
Overall experience: Bad
How much were you charged? $4,150
Was the charge fair? Unfair
Comment: Bobby is the biggest fraud we?ve dealt with since we started our home renovations. His original prices seemed fair (we purchased 1 tub, 3 commodes, 1 kitchen sink faucet, 5 bathroom sink faucets, 1 tub faucet, 1 shower/tub combo, 1 shower faucet for an agreed price). He ended up discounting about 20% off of labor for all the work we wanted to get done for the home, under the condition that he may ask for extras for ?extra parts here & there?. First off, Bobby has no intention of hauling away any trash he brings, be it empty boxes, old commodes, old sinks, old fixtures, unless you specifically tell him he can?t leave 3 dirty commodes and half a garage of empty boxes in your garage for days. (By the way, we ended up breaking down the boxes to recycle). When he installed the faucet for the jetted tub in the master bathroom, he broke one of the hinges to close the cover. The dishwasher is shifted to where we can?t close the door properly, and when we questioned him about the $600 that he charged for ?extra parts?, he refused to provide receipts and asked us how much we wanted him to refund us. Apparently these ?extra parts? are for items such as nuts/bolts, putty, screws, pipes, the typical things that might be needed to do plumbing. (After spending 2 days doing a full tally of all the ?extra parts?, which still had labels & stickers on the parts which were actually purchased, cross referencing with Delta manuals and the local home improvement stores, these ?extra parts? totaled $85.63, in which Bobby conveniently decided to round up to $600). IF you do decide to work with Bobby, make sure you get everything in writing and a receipt for everything that was purchased. Please don?t be trusting as we were (since he came highly recommended), and pay him upfront for fees and services that we have no idea if it will ever be done or not. In addition, he complained every single trip out to our house even though the agreement was to do the job - NOT to do the job in ONE TRIP. How do you expect to do over $!
2,000.00
worth of work in 1 day? In his own words, he?s not a ?greedy man?. You can be the judge of that. By the way, he did refund us $500 that he CONVENIENTLY overcharged, hoping we wouldn't question him, since we WERE one of his most easy going clients. Also, he didn?t want to end on a ?sour note?, so asked us to allow him to finish the previously agreed on projects. Is this serious? We just want the rest of our money back for the projects that have yet to be started. How can anyone expect that we?ll actually trust this person to ever do ANY type of business with us again??
