I own this house – *** Ave, SI NY 10312. Back in 2001 the NY City sewers came to Staten Island and my husband hired Able Plumbing – Licensed Plumber to do the work of Sewer hook up to NY city sewers and cut the septic tank pipe and drain and fill the Septic tank with clean earth. Able Plumbing was supposed to get the DEP Sign off and DOB – Dept of Building Inspection and sign off. I just found out that DOB sign off did not happen. My husband passed away this year in Spring 2021 and put the house in a Trust for my daughters who live in CA, so I am putting the house on the market for sale and we found out that the house failed the DOB Inspection. Back in 2001, my husband paid 4800$ to Able Plumbing LIC # 1039 – Owner Tommy Sarnelli for doing the sewer hookup work and getting the Inspection passed by DOB. Able Plumbing did not get the DOB Inspection done in 2001. House failed DOB Inspection in 2005. Able Plumbing is asking for 2500$ more to get the DOB Inspection sign off.
I am told that Able Plumbing gets lots of complaints and keeps changing his name slightly from Able Plumbing to Able Quality Plumbing, Able Island Plumbing etc and it is same owner who claims that previous owner did the lousy job but now he is the new owner.
